Honeyhander
Woolly Mannerisms
Strictly Amateur Films
Rating: 3/5

It's kind of hard to believe that this band isn't drawing a ton of influence from The Faint. Whether it be the music or the artwork on the CD packaging, I think this band's sound is a little too close to being The Faint. But regardless, Honeyhander have a good thing going on here on "Woolly Mannerisms." The music is all really random and everything is all static and synthesized, but Honeyhander are really poppy -- much poppier than The Faint -- and I think that's the best thing this band has going for them. They can appeal to punk fans, new wave fans, and everything in between.

Although this EP is only 15 minutes long, it does portray Honeyhander's sound just perfectly. I'm not sure if it's the poppy keyboard riffs or the distorted vocals, but whatever it is, I really dig it a lot, and I think this band is going to be pretty big in the future.
