I don’t get it at all, but I don’t know much about this band. The song titles seem weird to me, but then again, the music on this record also sounds a bit weird to me. Think the Beach Boys meets [insert pop punk band here].
Bracket do experiment with a lot of different sounds and styles throughout “Requiem”, so even though the music is a bit odd, it’s pretty interesting. The record drags on for a bit too long in my opinion (I often find myself telling the stereo to hurry up and finish playing the CD), so I think some of these tracks could have been cut because some of them, as weird as they are, are just plain ridiculous.
Overall, I’m just not sure about this record. I know I won’t be listening to it again because it’s nothing special. Even the album artwork isn’t that great for a band that’s been around so long.
